Getting something on the wall properly is mostly about what is behind it. I find the studs, pick the right anchor for the wall you actually have, and can hide the cable when you want it out of sight.
Most of what I mount is going up for the first time. A television that has to sit level and centered, a gallery wall that has to line up, shelving that needs to hold more than it looks like it will. Fifteen-plus years in custom home construction, remodel, repair and maintenance work means I know what to look for behind the drywall before I open it, and I leave the room looking the way it should.
