Text messaging program

Program name

Nine Banded Handyman

What the program is for

We send two kinds of text messages, and you consent to them separately.

How you opt in

You consent to receive service messages when you give us your mobile number, whether by texting us first, by submitting your number through a form on our website, or by providing it to us when requesting or scheduling work.

You consent to receive promotional messages only by separately and affirmatively agreeing to them, such as by checking the marketing consent box on our request form. Promotional consent is optional and is never a condition of receiving a quote or purchasing any service from us.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. The number of service messages depends on your job and how much back-and-forth it requires; most customers receive a handful per job. Promotional messages, for those who have opted in, are sent infrequently.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates for text messages and data will apply to messages you send and receive. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all text messages. You will receive a confirmation message and we will not send you further texts. To resume, reply START or contact us directly.

Reply STOP MKT to opt out of promotional messages only. You will continue to receive service messages about your own jobs, such as quotes, appointment reminders, and invoices.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly by phone or text at (737) 245-0557, or by email at josh.jack@ninebandedhandyman.com.

Privacy

Information collected through our text messaging program is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties except those strictly necessary to deliver the messages.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes are based on the information and photos you provide and on what can be seen at the time of assessment. If we open a wall, pull a fixture, or otherwise find conditions that were not visible or disclosed beforehand, we will stop and talk with you before doing additional work or incurring additional cost.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Material prices are subject to change.

Scheduling and access

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area at the scheduled time, and for securing pets and valuables. If we cannot access the property at the agreed time, we may need to reschedule.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as far in advance as you can.

Scope of work

We perform general handyman and light construction work. Work that requires a Texas plumbing, electrical, or HVAC license is outside our scope and will not be performed by us. If your job requires licensed trade work, we will tell you.

We do not pull permits unless expressly agreed in writing. You are responsible for confirming any HOA approval that your project requires.

Payment

Payment is due as stated on your invoice. Payments are processed through Jobber Payments; card details are handled by Jobber's payment processing and are not stored by us. Amounts left unpaid past their due date may be subject to reasonable collection costs.

Materials and manufacturer warranties

Where you supply materials or fixtures, we install what you provide and are not responsible for defects in those items. Products carry whatever warranty their manufacturer provides; we pass those through and do not extend them.

Liability

We take care in your home and stand behind the work we do. To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, our liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, latent defects, or damage arising from them.

Photographs of completed work

We may photograph completed work for our own records and, at times, to show examples of our work publicly. Photos are of the work itself. If you would prefer we not use photos from your property publicly, tell us and we will not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Williamson County, Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. The terms in effect when your work is scheduled are the ones that apply to that job.
